DESIGN

The preparations for welcoming a puppy into our home also include the purchase of all the necessary equipment for the newcoming member. One of the important parts of the equipment is also the dog bed. We have to decide what kind of bed we want (we are usually guided by the appearance and shape) and where to place it (in the living room, in the cage or maybe bedroom). Before we welcomed Jack into our home, we therefore wanted to take care of this aspect of owning a puppy as well. While looking for a suitable bed that would meet all the criteria – comfortable, practical and nice looking, we realized that only a few beds really appealed to us. Therefore, when we design Pups ‘n’ Ducks beds, we are guided by the rule that each bed must be aesthetic. We use colors and patterns that fit well togheter.

Dogs do not see colors in the same way we do. They see grey, blue and yellow best, this is why we include such colors in our designs.

FUNCTIONALITY

When we welcome a puppy into our home, it is necessary to start training to defecating outside. All dog owners know that this does not come easily and requires a lot of practice and persistence. It often happens that the puppy wets his bed, or just marks its territory. Quite a few times our four-legged friends return from an active walk with dirty paws or they serve part of their lunch on their bed as well.

That’s why we designed removable covers with a hidden zipper. The cover can be removed at any time and washed in the washing machine. The cover can be replaced with another one of the same size. The inner insert is also washable. The hidden zipper on the cover makes it harder for the puppy to bite it.

COMFORT

Another important aspect is the ultimate comfort, because we want your puppy to sleep and nap peacefully like a baby. Therefore, the materials are really selected. The outer cover is mostly made of cotton, while the inner part is made of 100% cotton and of silicone fibers, which are also suitable for dogs with allergies. The inner pillow is designed to “hug” the puppy while sleeping, this is why it will feel comfortable and safe on its bed.

SUSTAINABILITY

Since care for the environment and transparency of the textile industry are high on our list of priorities all selected materials are produced in Slovenia or within the European borders. The materials are supplied by small and medium-sized Slovenian companies. Each bed is made in Slovenia in humane conditions, so the production time, when a certain model is out of stock, can be a little longer. This is how we ensure the maintenance of product quality and on the other hand support small Slovenian businesses.
